Introduction
In the course of fulfilling its mission of teaching, learning and scholarship, Pacific employs a variety of record keeping systems and collects and uses a variety of information associated with its past, present and future customers, including faculty, staff, alumni and students. In addition to observing all applicable privacy and confidentiality laws (including the California Online Privacy Protection Act of 2003), Pacific respects and protects individual privacy through a Master Privacy Policy and a series of Privacy Policy Addendums.

The NACElink Network, the result of an alliance among the National Association of Colleges (NACE) and Employers, DirectEmployers Association, and Symplicity Corporation, is a national recruiting network and suite of web based recruiting and career services automation tools serving the needs of colleges, employers and job candidates. DirectEmployers Association
DirectEmployers Association is a nonprofit consortium of leading U.S. corporations. The Association's services include: the DirectEmployers' Search Engine, the Internet's only search engine dedicated exclusively to searching employment opportunities across corporate web sites, JobCentral National Labor Exchange in alliance with the National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA), and NACElink, a national college recruiting system developed in alliance with the National Association of Colleges and Employers and a group of leading universities.

Symplicity
The Symplicity Corporation is a software development company that maintains and operates NACElink.
Personally Identifiable Information
The University of the Pacific's Career Resource Center provides personally identifiable information about student/alumni users to NACElink for the purpose of professional development, and to prepare students for experiential learning opportunities such as internships, field work, and practicums as well as full-time employment. In order to provide these career services, Pacific supplies NACElink with selective student and alumni Directory Information as defined in the Master Privacy Policy.

Students may correct or modify this data by contacting the Office of the Registrar. Alumni may correct or modify this data (with the exception of major and grade level) by contacting the Advancement Services office at (209) 946-2202 or via email at alumniaddresschange@pacific.edu. NACElink allows users to change or correct personal information entered by users at any time. To do so, users simply login to their account, go to their profile, and locate options for editing the information.
System/Service Summary
The University of the Pacific’s Career Resource Center provides access to the NACElink web site to present a web-based system for posting jobs, maintaining a resume database, registering, and scheduling interviews for its job seekers and for the employers who recruit on campus.
Intended Use
Students/alumni use NACElink through Pacific's Inside Pacific web portal to post resumes and review job opportunities.
Employers that use NACElink will have access to users resume and the personal information contained therein for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring purposes. Employers will also have access to limited information from user’s profiles only if the profile matches an employer’s search criteria. NACElink and University of the Pacific are not responsible for what employers do with the personal information that is available or accessible on this site.
The University of the Pacific’s Career Resource Center may access some of the job seeker’s personal information to send e-mail and to send resumes to employers on behalf of the student/alumni. Students can choose to publish their resumes in the online resume books.
While NACE and the University of the Pacific’s Career Resource Center endeavor to restrict access to this database to eligible employers, NACElink cannot guarantee that other parties will not, without consent, gain access to the database.
The University of the Pacific’s Career Resource Center and NACElink will collect information from employers utilizing the site. This information includes contact information (contact names, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, etc.), unique identifiers (NACE membership, account numbers, etc.), and demographic information (such as location, type of organization, size of organization). Security
The University of the Pacific has technical, administrative, and physical security measures and safeguards in place to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under Pacific’s control. The University of the Pacific’s Career Resource Center has partnered with NACElink in order to provide improved services to Pacific students and alumni. Many of the provisions contained in this Statement are based upon representations made by NACElink. While the University of the Pacific believes that NACElink provides a valuable service to the Pacific job seeking community, NACElink is not affiliated with the University of the Pacific. Therefore, Pacific can not guarantee, nor does it otherwise accept responsibility for, any portion of this Statement that depends upon NACElink’s representations and its compliance with those representations.
Policy Changes
The University reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy Addendum from time to time without prior notice or consent, but if changes are made, that fact will be prominently and widely communicated to the associated information providers. In the event that information is gathered online, a change history for the Privacy Policy Addendum will be maintained off the Privacy Statement link on each page that gathers such information.
